Library user training

Classes about library services are offered to all University users. Training is currently held in Italian  and in English and ranges from tools and methods for an effective bibliographic search to an overview of available information sources.

Some courses offer credit points and may be reserved for students on specific degree programmes, whilst others are also aimed at PhD students across various academic disciplines to help them acquire transferable skills.

The courses are delivered both in person and remotely (via videoconferencing platforms) or via e-learning through the University’s Moodle platform (complementary training activities).

  • Bibliographic research skills for Science PhD students. E-learning on Moodle platform, duration 10 hours. Scheduled for Autumn 2026. Worth 1.5 CFU for soft skills programme for PhD students
  • LaTeX introduction. Course held on September 17, in person, duration 5 hours. Worth 1 CFU for soft skills programme for PhD students.

  • Systematic Reviews & AI: Method, Tools and Techniques (course held on January 23, 2026, both via videoconference and in person, as part of the XI Winter School on Research Methodology in social sciences, urban studies and spatial planning, duration: 4 hours)
  • Learn, use, and practice library services (course held on May 6, 2026, in person, as part of the Workshop How to Write a Thesis in the Course Pianificare e progettare città e territori in transizione, duration: 4 hours)
