The Library System of the University of Florence has been organizing Erasmus staff training weeks for international librarians since 2012. Over the years, it has hosted 95 colleagues from 10 countries.
Our Erasmus+ Library Staff Training Week is a peer-learning event intended for small groups of participants (maximum 8), in order to share expertise and develop new skills. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas, knowledge and best practices regarding academic libraries and their services.
During the Erasmus staff training week participants will visit the five Subject Area Libraries of the System and some of their branch libraries.
Thorough the Week the entire set of library services will be explored in depth:
The training will take place from Monday to Friday.
On the first day, participants will be requested to give a short presentation of their University and Library.
During the Week they will be asked to give a short presentation (15-20 minutes) on a topic in which they are expert or a best practice their libraries have implemented.
On the last day participants will be issued the confirmation of final period.
