The AI Research Assistant is a tool powered by generative artificial intelligence that is integrated into our OneSearch catalog. It identifies up to five academic resources for each search query entered in natural language, drawing from a database of millions of bibliographic citations and electronic resources.
You can access it from Onesearch by logging in and then clicking on the "Research Assistant" option at the top, or from a sidebar that appears on the right after launching any search.
The tool also summarizes the most relevant information based on the descriptions/abstracts of each article to create an overview of the answer that includes precise references to the sources, ensuring transparency regarding how each source contributed to the answer. You can also expand on your search in OneSearch or follow suggestions for similar search queries to explore new avenues of research.
