To mark the 80th anniversary of the referendum of 2 June 1946, ‘Readings at the Centre’ presents a series of resources dedicated to the birth of the Italian Republic and the referendum as the first national occasion for women’s suffrage, with its historical, political and social implications.
The reading suggestions will be available from 29 May to 30 June on the ground floor, opposite the circulation desk, and in the dedicated area on the first floor during the Library’s usual opening hours: Mon–Fri 8.30am–11.30pm, Sat 8.30am–7.00pm.
