Momentary Monument – The Library, 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia

The Technology Library collaborates in the realization of the exhibition

The Technology Library – Architecture, Agriculture and Engineering contributed to the realization of Momentary Monument – The Library, the seventh and final iteration of the site-specific project by artist Lara Favaretto, promoted by the Bvlgari Foundation and presented in the Monumental Rooms of the Marciana National Library as part of the collateral events of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.
Through the donation of deaccessioned volumes from its collections, the Library contributed to the creation of an installation reflecting on the value of memory, knowledge, and the circulation of ideas. Selected for their documentary significance, the books become part of a dynamic and consultable library, transformed by the artist into an exhibition device capable of fostering a dialogue between preservation, access, and cultural responsibility.
The exhibition opening was held on 6 May, while the exhibition will be open to visitors from 9 May to 22 November.
