From 28 January to 21 June 2026, Palazzo Reale in Milan will host the exhibition Metafisica / Metafisiche 1909 – 2025, an official event of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics. The exhibition explores this artistic movement that spanned the 20th century and whose influence can still be felt today.
The exhibition features two significant drawings by architect Marcello Piacentini relating to the design of the EUR district in Rome, belonging to the valuable Piacentini archive preserved at the Architecture Library.
From September to December 2026, the same drawings will be transferred to Rome to be exhibited at the GNAM (National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art), the venue for the second stage of the exhibition.
