On 10 December 1948, the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and during the 317th global meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in 1950, this day was chosen, with resolution 423 (V), to celebrate World Human Rights Day.
To mark the occasion, the Social Sciences Library is offering a series of resources, both printed and digital, to remind us of the importance of fundamental human rights and the prevention of any form of violation.
The reading suggestions will be available for the entire month of December on the ground floor in front of the circulation desk during the Library's regular opening hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m., Sat 8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
