On the occasion of IF – Intelligenze Femminili , the eighth edition of the L’Eredità delle donne festival, the Humanities Library presents:
Lungi-miranti: women who see the future
Selected passages by female writers, philosophers, mystics, and thinkers from every era will be displayed in the library to draw attention to the divergent, alternative, and anticipatory gaze that women are able to cast on reality, transforming it into the future. From Hildegard of Bingen to Clarice Lispector, from Mary Shelley to Simone de Beauvoir and many other visionary writers, the exhibition will offer visitors a dialogue between voices distant in time but united by the power of thoughts capable of breaking conventions, imagining possibilities, and giving shape to new visions of the world.
The Festival is a project by Elastica with Gucci and Fondazione CR Firenze as founding partners and co-promoted by the Municipality of Florence.
Admission to the exhibition: free
Opening hours: Monday - Friday | 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
