The autumn edition of Scienzestate returns to the courtyard in Via La Pira!
The Departments of Earth Sciences and Biology, the Natural History Museum, and the Sciences Library are participating in this edition with lots of activities designed for children and young people, families, and anyone who is curious to discover the world of science and how to live more sustainably.
The Sciences Library - Geomineralogy presents The watchword is... sustainability! with games, informational materials for young environmentalists and conscious consumers, and a workshop for creating objects made from natural and recycled materials. Participants will then be able to browse through the books in the Small Sustainability Library, which has been set up ‘on the road’ for the occasion by the Technology Library - Agriculture.
The library reading room (on the first floor) hosts the board game Dangers & Dwellers, created by professors Emanuele Intrieri and Samuele Segoni from the Department of Earth Sciences as part of the “Elements at play” project: participants are called upon to defend an imaginary island from a series of natural hazards, playing various roles within a civil protection system.
