On Monday 3 June from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, on the Microsoft Teams platform there will be an in-depth webinar organised by the Social Sciences Library to learn about the functions of FactSet, an advanced platform that provides economic and financial data, analysis tools and detailed research.
The meeting will be held by a FactSet consultant, who will cover several topics:
- How to stay up-to-date on the latest news (the different News Tabs)
- Detailed analyses of individual companies, private and public (balance sheet data, estimated values, prices, ESG scores and more), bonds and funds
- Where to find/download corporate documents (annual report, sustainability report etc.)
- Screening of securities: an essential tool for students to identify, with customisable parameters, universes of equity, debt instruments, M&A transactions and more
- Sectoral index analysis, to better understand the dynamics of different industries and sectors
- Country-level macroeconomic data retrieval and economic indicators
- Introduction to private equity and its peculiarities
- Bulk downloading of data in Excel, with practical examples on how to use the FactSet Add-in, an active feature for students close to graduation.
