The cities of Bergamo and Brescia have been designated the Italian capitals of culture for 2023.
In the exhibition "Brescia-Bergamo. Arte, storia e cultura tra XVI e XX secolo" (Brescia, Palazzo Martinengo, Jan. 20-June 11, 2023) there is a section that features the figure of Marcello Piacentini and the role the architect played in the architectural and urban development of these two cities.
The Architecture Branch of the Library of Technological Sciences has contributed to the arrangement of this section with the loan of some documents of the Marcello Piacentini Archive (photographs, drawings, letters, notebooks with notes and sketches).
