SESSION 1 - Tuesday 9 June 2020 | 11 am - 12.30 pm:
- Introduction to Web of Science Core Collection and integration with other Clarivate solutions
This session shows you to navigate the Web of Science Core Collection, to know all its indices and characteristics, to use the Web of Science platform and to build efficient research, to manage (marked list), export and analyze the results of the research, to distinguish between types of documents, to check whether or not a journal is indexed (MJL), to check what the papers of an institution or a researcher are, to create alerts, to analyze the Funding acknowledgments, to find out if there are early access papers or retractions. In addition, you will discover the existing integrations of Web of Science Core Collection: all the filters (including the new one on Open Access) and the possibilities of analysis, the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) with the Impact Factor, the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) for first-level bibliometric analysis, the study of Highly Cited Papers, new Author Records, Publons profiles.
SESSION 2 - Thursday 11 June 2020 | 3 - 4.30 pm:
- Web of Science Core Collection as a database for assessments
This session presents the use of Web of Science Core Collection data for citation evaluations and analyzes: the main international rankings, "smart" metrics and citation data normalization, the past and present VQR, the percentiles, the authors' position, analysis of personal profiles (H-Index and H-Index without self-quotes), web services and integration on CRIS, the solution to find reviewers and other possible analyzes on InCites: Open Access and PLAN S, international collaborations and those with industry, productivity on a geographical scale, etc.
