Seminar promoted by the Bachelor of Science course in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies and curated by Giuliana Parisi.

The initiative is part of the cycle "The agri-stories at the Library: presentations of books, experiences, projects, etc..

Programme

  • The AICS headquarters in Florence: an example of Rationalist Architecture - Giampaolo Trotta, Architect
  • The history of the former Istituto Agronomico per l'Oltremare: from the colonial phase to the Cooperation of Development - Riccardo De Robertis, Historian
  • The current role of AICS in the International Cooperation for Development - AICS Official

There will be a visit to the historic building, to the Greenhouses, to the Photo Library, the Library, the Entomological Collection and the Agricultural Museum of the former Istituto Agronomico per l'Oltremare (Agronomic Institute for Overseas Countries). 

On the occasion, the Library of Agriculture has curated a bibliographic exhibition in its rooms in Piazzale delle Cascine 18.
