The seminar stems from a project supported by Wikimedia Italy on the accessibility of Roman law texts, in which the Library of Social Sciences has collaborated as a partner.
The aim of the meeting is to promote discussion on accessibility among the main actors involved in the production and dissemination of digital or digitised texts. Adopted practices and critical technical and regulatory issues will be discussed.
The first session will be dedicated to the recently concluded Wikimedia project, in the second the role of libraries will be analysed, the third will see the comparison between publishers and reference institutions of the publishing world (Italian Publishers Association, Accessible Books Foundation). Finally, it will be the turn of digital publishing service platforms (Casalini Torrossa, MediaLibraryOnline, Perlego).
The event can be followed online.
