Beauty Preserved

"Florence 1966-2016. Beauty Preserved" continues until July 2nd

There is still time for curious visitors and history buffs to see the flood-focused exhibition at Palazzo Medici Riccardi, “Florence 1966-2016. Beauty Preserved.” The exhibition will continue until July 2nd.
The exhibition highlights how Florence evolved into a global capital of art restoration in the wake of the flood – one of the positive outcomes of the 1966 disaster, particularly seen in the work of the modern Opificio delle Pietre Dure (1975).

One of the main missions of the exhibition is to inspire new generations to defend and protect Florence’s cultural heritage by telling these stories, through testimonies as well as through the affected objects themselves.
