As of May 2016 all records of the Istituto Papirologico "G. Vitelli" library catalogue have been imported in the online catalogue of the University Library System. The Study Centre's library has been part of the University's since 2014 but records were accessible only through a separate system.
The heritage of the library totals around 25,000 volumes of particular interest to subject specialists and scholars. This library arguably holds the most complete and organic collection in Italy in the field of Papyrology and related disciplines, such as Egyptology, Archaeology, Paleography, Greek and Latin Literature, Classic Philology, Ancient Philosophy and History of the Religions.
